The Minister of Higher Education is mandated by Islam Abu Al-Magd to act as Chairman of the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Science.

Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, issued a decision Dr. Islam Hamza Abu Al-Magd, Research Professor of the National Authority Remote Sensing and Space Sciences, to carry out the work of the Chairman of the National Remote Sensing and Space Sciences Authority.
It should be noted that Dr. Islam Abu Al-Magd has held several positions, including Vice-President of the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Science, Deputy Executive Chairman of the Egyptian Space Agency, Adviser to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Space Technology and African Affairs, as well as members of international and local committees. He served as Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the Development of the National Space Programme by the Prime Minister. He also served as Vice-President of the African Organization for Remote Sensing and the Environment and served as Chairman of a working group to follow up the implementation of the decisions of the African Union on the implementation of the work of the African Space Agency.
