Honoring the winners of the Remote Sensing Authority’s annual awards in scientific research for the year 2024

Under the auspices of the Minister of Higher Education... Honoring the 2024 annual remote sensing award winners in scientific research.

Under the auspices of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences, chaired by Dr. Islam Abu Al-Magd, organized a ceremony to distribute its annual awards for excellence in scientific research for 2023-2024, in the presence of Dr. Elham Ali, Professor of the Marine and Coastal Environment, Coordinator of the Prize, and heads of divisions and departments of the Authority.

The winners of the best master's thesis, best doctoral thesis and best published scientific research were honored by Dr. Islam Abu Al-Magd after the Arbitration Commission had carefully evaluated the research papers submitted and the attractive presentations made to the candidates, while adhering to strict scientific criteria including the authenticity of the research, clarity of methodology, relevance of the results and significant contribution to relevant scientific research.

Dr. Amira Sobhi received the award for the best doctoral message, Mr. Ahmed Mohamed won the best message award, Dr. Mohammed Hagag received the first award for the best research, and Dr. Abd El-Rauf Masoud received the second-best research award.

They commended the good organization of the honor ceremony and thanked all doctoral and master's supervisors, stressing the importance of their instructions and guidance.

On the margins of the ceremony, the officials and members of the NEXSat pilot project were honored, who made every effort to make this great project a success. Data and photographs were received from the project manager, Dr. Alaa Saad, Dr. Mohamed Yahya Idris, the systems engineer, and Dr. Sayed Abdo, the station manager.
