Exploring new places for agriculture and study of crop structure and groundwater

Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, stressed the importance of the role of the Remote Sensing and Space Science Authority in the exploration of promising places for agriculture, mining and the study of crop composition and water availability, using the latest techniques, noting the important role played by the Authority.
He stressed the need to strengthen joint scientific and research cooperation with various stakeholders and institutions for the benefit of society and the national economy.
In this context, Dr. Islam Abu Al-Magd received the Chairman of the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Science, Major General Ali Al-Deeb, Head of the Strategic Planning Sector of Egypt ' s Future Development Agency for Sustainable Development, and Deputy Dr. Sama Sulaiman, Under-Secretary of the Foreign, Arab and African Affairs Committee of the Senate, to examine the frameworks for joint cooperation between the two sides, particularly in the area of agricultural development, the exploration of new places for agriculture and the study of the crop composition of these places and the groundwater on which agricultural growth can take place.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed cooperation frameworks in the New Delta region and places that could bring about an increase in the agricultural area and increase the productivity of some strategic and export crops that could contribute to economic return and growth of Egyptian exports.
The meeting also discussed frameworks for cooperation in mining activity and promising places that could be a source of mining operations, mineral exploration concessions or concessions for the extraction of building materials and decorations.
The meeting also discussed cooperation frameworks in techniques and technologies for the use of ground-based lasers and lasers by the organization ' s aircraft, which could participate in studies in smart cities, the development of smart cities and the physical development of some new places in new cities.
The meeting discussed how the Senate and the Committee for Arab and African Affairs could support the Commission politically and legislatively in order to maximize the return of scientific research, research and development outputs from the Commission to serve the State and achieve strategic Arab and African partnerships.
